350 years of history and endless historic charm

Come explore our charming old neighbourhoods rich in history. Architectural jewels, exhibits and restaurants bring to life the 18th and 19th century seigneuries of Old Terrebonne and Îles-des-Moulins, on the shores of the Mille Îles river.

With its five restored buildings, two permanent exhibitions, several guided tours, Île-des-Moulins offers various activities during summer.

Terrebonne’s historic society (PHT) and Maison d’histoire open their doors on a new exhibition coming in august 2023. You can also assist to various historical conferences, guided tours, events and historical reenactements.

Arts and culture

Théâtre du Vieux-Terrebonne (TVT) is a well-known auditorium presenting a wide range of shows. For more than 30 years, TVT has been offering high quality artistic programs, showcasing renowned and trending artists through plays, comedy, music and other categories.

Built in 1759, Maison Bélisle is one of Old Terrebonne’s oldest preserved house. Open year round, this historical building holds a permanent exhibit on the history of Terrebonne, as well as five other temporary expos during the year.
