A seigniory at war
The exhibition tells of this particular experience of the war in Terrebonne. We discover a lively town marked by population movements, cultural exchanges and military activity. From the daily life of the inhabitants to the mobilization towards the battlefields, the exhibition traces a portrait of the Terrebonne individuals immersed in the heart of the Seven Years’ War. A lordship at war deals with the relationship to the territory, immigration and Canadianity. The exhibition questions the visitor on issues related to demographic development, cultural mobility and, more broadly, identity. Finally, it pays tribute to the individuals who participated in the construction of what has become today the City of Terrebonne.
