Terrebonne

Population : 113 575 (2017)

The tenth largest city in Quebec and the largest in Lanaudière, Terrebonne is a very popular tourist destination. Its population of 97,000 is spread over a vast area of 150 square kilometres, stretching north from rivière des Mille Îles to the fertile plains of Les Moulins county, in the east to Rivière des Prairies, and to the great open spaces of farmland and golf courses in the west.

There are so many reasons to visit Terrebonne with family, friends or colleagues: for its heritage buildings and sites, like the Île-des-Moulins, for a cultural experience such as the Théâtre du Vieux-Terrebonne and Maison Bélisle, for its many events such as the Festival des vins, or simply to enjoy beautiful views across the fast-running rivière des Mille Îles.  You will undoubtedly appreciate Terrebonne!

Explore the area by canoe, kayak or bicycle… or relax on a patio, in a bistro or under a shady tree in one of our many parks. Visit the three adjoining areas of Lachenaie, La Plaine and Terrebonne and you are sure to discover a friendly atmosphere among the welcoming and lively local population!
