Mascouche

Population : 47 504 (2017)

The city of Masouche has grown and developed with a deep respect for the necessary balance between country charm and urban quality of life. The Parc du Grand-Coteau, ten million square feet in area, is the ideal natural setting for family outings and activities, bike rides, picnics, bird-watching, skating, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

The best way to appreciate the natural beauty of Mascouche is on a walking tour along with an audio-guide, available free from the Tourist Information Bureau. The audio commentary leads you through more than 260 years of Mascouche history.  Close to this magic place, an attraction not to be missed is the Moore Gardens, alongside the Mascouche river. Here you’ll find some of the most beautiful flower gardens in Quebec.  This magnificent setting is a tribute to the important work of the founder, William Dyson Moore, and his great passion for horticulture.

Explore the many horseback-riding trails of the area and delight in the beauty of the scenery all around, as well as the quality of the well-maintained trails. Or, if ATV driving is your preferred mode, take to the trails that have been specially laid out for members of the Club QUAD de Mascouche. When you come to Mascouche in the Fall, you must not miss the Mascouche Painting Festival if art is your passion.  Wonderful times are guaranteed!
